Hopeful Climate Fiction

Featured Stories

Bright Green Futures is both a podcast and a newsletter where we lift up stories that imagine a more just and sustainable world and talk about the struggle to get there.

The purpose is to collect up the works and the writers in one place, so we can build community and work together to surface these stories and grow the genre (and recommended reading lists). The single biggest question I get with hopepunk and solarpunk works (or hopeful climate fiction in general) is “where can I find more like this?”

By having both a podcast and a newsletter, as well as associated social media like TikTok, I can reach people in their preferred mode: some folks like pods, some like to read, others will only be reached by a 15sec video on TikTok. We need to USE ALL THE TOOLS available in this fight, and that’s what I’m trying to do.

The podcast is live on Spotify, Apple, YouTube Music, Pocket Cast, and Overcast, as well as Substack. Subscribing to the Bright Green Futures Substack will get you both the pod and the newsletter, as well as access to the list of Featured Stories and Recommended Reads.

I hope you’ll check it out, subscribe, and share with your friends!
